Recruitment

A letter from our Recruitment Chair,

Dear Potential New Member,

My name is Maddie Hathcock, and I'm currently serving as the 2022 Recruitment Chair for the Sigma Alpha Zeta chapter at LSU!

Before you start your journey of recruitment, I wanted to give a warm welcome on behalf of our chapter.
You are about to embark on possibly the most exciting and rewarding experience of your time as a student at LSU. Through recruitment, you will meet girls that will eventually become your absolute best friends, making connections that'll last a lifetime.

We are so excited that you are interested in Sigma Alpha being your home for the next four years, and I want you to know of all the places going Greek will take you! Sigma Alpha is LSU’s only professional sorority, meaning we strive to build your character and accomplishments higher that you ever aspired your professional life to achieve. You will have opportunities to become involved in Greek Life and within our LSU community, many of which are inside the walls of our sorority. Your future fellow sisters will always encourage you to strive to become the best version of yourself because they honestly care for each and every single one
of their sisters.

I am looking forward to welcoming you into our family during recruitment where we can show you what true Sigma Alpha sisterhood means to us! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at sazetarecruitment@gmail.com! I look forward to meeting you!

In Sisterhood,

Maddie Hathcock

We're SEAUX excited to welcome new Sisters in Agriculture!

Member recruitment can be broken down into three phases:
1. Recruitment Week
  • Recruitment week lasts for four days and consists of an Ice Cream Social, Information Night, Philanthropy Night, and Preference Night. Come have fun, meet our sisters, and learn more about our sorority!
  • It is required to attend 2 nights in addition to preference night to be considered for membership.
2. Preference Night
  • The fourth day of recruitment week. Potential new members will be interviewed by our executive board, and then voted on by actives to determine if they will be extended a bid.
  • Bids are sent out the day after interviews are completed.
3. Bid Day
  • A day to celebrate our newly initiated girls and welcome them into our sorority!
